1. Who we are
Thistle Blast Pressure Washing is a locally operated family business based in Alloa, Clackmannanshire, Central Scotland.
In these Terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Thistle Blast Pressure Washing. “You” means the person or business using our services or website.
2. What these Terms cover
These Terms apply when you:
- Use our website
- Request a quote
- Book any exterior cleaning service with us (for example: driveways, patios, paths, walls, roofs, gutters)
By using our site or booking a service, you agree to these Terms.
3. Our services
We provide exterior cleaning services using professional‑grade equipment.
We aim to:
- Work safely and carefully around your property
- Provide clear communication before, during and after the job
- Deliver visible cleaning results where reasonably possible
We may refuse or stop a job if:
- Conditions are unsafe (for example, severe weather, unsafe access)
- We believe the work could cause damage that you have not agreed to in writing
4. Quotes and pricing
Quotes are usually free and without obligation unless we clearly say otherwise.
Quotes are based on the information you give us (size, access, condition, photos, etc.).
If we arrive and the job is very different from what was described, we may revise the quote before starting work.
All prices are in GBP (£).
A quote is not a confirmed booking until we agree a date and time with you.
5. Bookings and cancellations
5.1 Booking
You can request a booking online, by phone, or by email.
Your booking is confirmed when we send you a confirmation message (email, text, or similar).
5.2 Rescheduling or cancelling by you
Please give us as much notice as possible if you need to change or cancel.
If you cancel or reschedule more than 24 hours before the job: no fee is usually charged.
If you cancel or reschedule less than 24 hours before the job, we may charge a reasonable fee to cover lost time and travel.
5.3 Cancellations by us
We may need to reschedule or cancel due to:
- Unsafe weather or conditions
- Illness or emergency
- Equipment failure or access issues
If this happens, we will contact you as soon as we can to rearrange. We are not responsible for any indirect loss caused by a delay or cancellation (for example, loss of earnings).
6. Access and preparation
You are responsible for:
- Providing safe and reasonable access to the areas we are cleaning
- Moving vehicles, furniture, pots, or fragile items that could be damaged or block access
- Keeping children and pets away from the work area while we are working
If we cannot safely access the area, we may not be able to complete the job and may charge a call‑out fee.
7. Property condition and limitations
Pressure washing and exterior cleaning can reveal existing wear, damage, or discolouration that was not visible before.
By booking our services, you accept that:
- We are not responsible for pre‑existing damage, staining, or defects.
- Some stains, marks, or organic growth may not fully come off, even with professional cleaning.
- Older or fragile surfaces (for example, loose pointing, flaking paint, very old slabs) may be more likely to chip or loosen.
We will always aim to use an appropriate method and pressure level for the surface, but we cannot guarantee a “like new” result.
8. Payment
Unless agreed otherwise in writing:
- Payment is due on completion of the job.
- We may accept cash, bank transfer, card, or other methods as agreed.
- For larger jobs, we may ask for a deposit before work starts.
If payment is late, we may send reminders, charge reasonable late payment fees or interest as allowed by law, or use lawful steps to recover the amount owed.
9. Photos and marketing
We often take before‑and‑after photos or short videos of our work. We may use these for our website, social media, or other marketing materials.
We will not show your full address or personal contact details.
If you do not want photos of your property used in this way, please tell us in writing before the job starts.
10. Our liability
We will provide our services with reasonable care and skill. We are not liable for any loss caused by inaccurate information you gave us, pre‑existing damage or defects, or indirect or consequential loss.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Your responsibilities
By using our services, you agree to provide accurate information, follow our safety instructions, and pay for the services as agreed.
If you do not meet these responsibilities, we may cancel or stop the job and charge for time and costs already incurred.
12. Website use
You agree not to misuse our website, try to gain unauthorised access to our systems, or copy our content without permission. We do not guarantee that the website will always be available or error‑free.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If you continue to use our site after changes are posted, you are agreeing to the updated Terms.
